I am self-driven and independent without the need for outside motivation to get the job done. I'm a great communicator, very approachable and well versed in establishing and maintaining a network. Hi. I'm Davar and this is my web presence. I started this just after a 3 year stint in Cancun, Mexico. Year 2013. I was happy to be back home in Florida. New York came calling and for the last 3 years I've been experiencing this amazing city, people, happenings, restaurants, the vibe the energy. l have arguably lived in some of the most interesting parts of the world. I was born in Iran, raised and educated in England, done business in Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Ecuador, Hong Kong, Mexico and West Africa. Settled in Sierra Leone in late 80’s, early 90’s and earned my badge as an adventurer, entrepreneur and survivor. It has been a series of well-orchestrated accidents. I am the author of a book, a very slow author :)  – “How to come back” and am an aspiring Angel Investor.

I love to read. Business models fascinate me, family means everything to me, and sushi is my preferred food. I am tired of traveling but want to do more. I have yet to visit Australia. I think Steve Jobs should have run an American car company, but I guess there is an Elon Musk for that, children are precious & animals are helpless, love dogs and miss my Afghan terribly, money is a side effect of success, perseverance will pay off, arrogance is sad, too many children are in vulnerable situations everyday, Madonna should be allowed to adopt (save) as many kids as she can, the Middle East crisis is pointless, this (the US) is an amazing Nation, global warming is real, evolution is real, I lost my parents thirty years ago and still miss them everyday.

ZOOD LABS is an early stage (very early!) Angel fund. Simply put, you have a great idea and need some help to get to market. Then I am your guy. If you are looking for later stage funding, VC money and or just looking for cash flow then you are on the wrong site. Typically I am interested in companies that are looking to operate on the Internet (although I am involved with one or two small ventures that are using the Internet as a vehicle for selling physical goods). You have to be a start up! If your idea is going to change the world, then great, but I am not expecting it to. All I need is to get a decent return on my investment.

I am looking to invest anywhere from a couple of thousand to a maximum of 10k. And expect a very small % equity stake in your venture.

It wouldn't happen they said. He won't come back they said. It's been 21 years they said. And then he landed back at Lungi, went to Freetown, Attended the Inauguration, met with some old friends, tasted the food, smelled the air .... and he thought: I am home!

Determined to start companies that will have a real socio economic impact and lift people out of poverty. Sustainable business models that will empower the local population and improve the human capital. This has been done elsewhere and it is now time to implement this ideology.
